9640 AMC ONLINE 888-440-4

I got a text from my credit card company for a charge of $21.60 at 9640 AMC ONLINE at 8:17 AM in the morning. I happened to see the msg and called Chase right away. They cancelled my card and will have the new one delivered in 2-3 days. Until them, I am without a credit card. Incidentaly, I never heard of 9640 ANC ONLINE. Some law agency needs to go after them and shut them down forever

I got a notification from my bank that I was charged $16.35 from AMC online?!?! I did not sign up for anything and would like it to be returned. I haven't been to an AMC theater in years and have never had this happen before. Why out of the blue is this happening?

I saw the same charge from AMC Online 9640 on 11/30/22 which is today. I went to my AMC App that I used to buy tickets previously, looked at the history for recent charges and saw the AMC Stubs A-List annual charge + tax. I came here and read these and got so scared , but it looks like this is what that was!

I was just alertted of a charge to my debit card from AMC Online 9640 LEAWOOD KS in the amount of $16.31. I did not make this online order and refuse these charges. Why can't we call AMC????

this could be the annual membership charge for the AMC Stubs Premier membership. It renews automatically and can be cancelled anytime.

I was debited $158.90, but then it was credited back into my account. Same thing - it came from AMC Online 9640 Leawood KS. I have reported it as fraud to my bank.

This is a false charge run out of AMC. You must dispute the charge with your bank. In essence bad actors will hack into a machine and run random numbers for random amounts, once they get a message back that it worked they know they have a number to use.

It's important to not just dispute thus but put limitations on your card like staying within your state, or be vigilant and dispute it unknown charges like this one.

I was reviewing records. I found a charge "AMC Online 9640" This wasn't authorized. The card was locked/reported/destroyed. I have been issued a refund.

The 9640 AMC ONLINE charge appears to be the annual automatic re-subscription to the AMC Premier / AMC Stubs program. Install the AMC app on your phone to verify, and look at "MY AMC" tab.

It may not be a fraud. I saw the same charge and didn't recognize it. AMC 9640. When I delved into it I found it was a once-a-year charge that I did authorize (a year ago) to be a member of AMC Stubs (Membership). The cost was only $15 (+ tax) at the time and it clearly shows on my account on the AMC Stubs website that I would be charged the next year (April 30, 2024) and now shows I will be charged again next year (April 30, 2025). I didn't realize It was a yearly recurring charge at the time ... just read the part that said it was only $15 for a year. You can go on-line to AMC and cancel your membership AT ANY TIME ... BEFORE YOUR BILLING DATE.

Was charged $150, have never been to an AMC theater. Called my credit card company immediately to dispute.

There was a charge for $25.54 that was attempted to be placed on my Mastercard. I DO NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH AMC ONLINE AND DON'T WANT ONE. PLEASE TAKE ALL THESE CHARGES.

I looked up the statement balance and i found that AMC $25 something charged on me. I never use that before. I need that remove this.

same thing. 6 monthly charges of $24.95 by AMC online 9640 leawood kansas since august 2022 thru February 2023! american express fraud dept will refund me and block them and cancel card and send new card. this is atrocious! I will and you can also write to "reportfraud.ftc.gov" to get the federal trade commission onto this thief!

9640 AMC ONLINE 16.35. CONFIRMED this is annual renewal of STUBS Premiere Membership. I just checked this in the AMC app - exact match in app as see at our bank.

Charge occurs on card out of nowhere have not been to an amc theater in years.

I did not approve this charge. Calling my credit card company to report the fraud.
