On Feb 3rd of 2016 I made my usual AAA insurance payment only to later receive a letter that no payment was received. There was a lot of back and for correspondence where the AAA representative claimed the money was never received and demanded another payment. However due to how little on disability my mother gets, everything is budgeted to the point she couldn't afford to pay them again. This is after sending AAA our bank transcripts showing that the money had indeed gone through. Now, since that has happened the original car was repossessed and a different car was purchased. When seeking insurance the rate jumped up from around 38 dollars to over a hundred! When asked why we were told because we didn't pay that payment with AAA (Even though we were seeking other companies, AAA had an absurd rate now) It didn't seem to matter that we had all the information they asked including the location that accepted the payment, they just turned off our insurance and we are now are in need of insurance but can't afford the rates due to AAA losing our payment. Not to give out too much personal information at this moment, the following is an excerpt from a letter I am currently writing to AAA again, in hopes they can rectify this mistake and bring the insurance rate back to what it was. (the location that accepted insurance payment of 38.08 was paid 2/3/2016 and posted/taken from our bank on 2/4/2016 and not returned like Maria Niess stated. I don't know if it matters that she is stationed in Nebraska and the payment was made in Michigan at the location of AAA CLUB/INSUR 0470590 08002226424 MI, under the Point of Sales terminal (P.O.S.: 11349)) Maria Niess was the representative who claimed the payment wasn't made due to insufficient funds, which I wish were true since we'd have the money to pay at that time and not have this problem that is still effecting the family. I am on disability and am over 65 with COPD, Osteoarthritis, Type 2 diabetes and some other health issues I'd rather not share at the moment. I need to visit the hospital regularly which is 30 miles away and there's no public transportation nor hospital transportation I can set up in time to get me to my appointments which is basically leaving me with the choice of breaking the law to get to my appointments or not chance it and see how long I can live without my life sustaining medicine. I really hope this wasn't a case of fraud, I had no trouble paying my insurance up until Feb of 2016.
I'm not 100 percent sure what this site is about, but if it turns out that I was involved with fraud, then that would explain a lot and would like to know what I can do about it, and quickly because as summer comes I'll need to be going to the hospital more and more so that I can breathe.
