What is it?

AAFES = Army & Air Force Exchange Service. One has to be an "authorized patron" (usually people in the military, their families, veterans, and certain government employees, although I imagine a crook on a mission could find a way around that) to even shop there, so if you don't know what AAFES is, it probably doesn't belong on your credit card or bank statement.
