I had a similar experience as David B. Lawrence in CA. I wrote telling my experience but it was never shown. I made a call to the number on my Visa statement and it explained that I had made the donation to DCCC and also one to ACTBLUE. i intended to give $15.00 to ACTBLUE which ended up being for $30.00. They have credited my bank for the extra $15.00. Must be careful when donating that they have not checked the box you will pay for coming months. This is not in my opinion a good practice and I doubt that I will be donating again unless I am sure it will cause another problem.

I DID NOT AUTHORIZE ANY AUTO PAYMENT TO YOUR ORGANIZATION. I MADE A "ONE TIME" CONTRIBUTION. I DID NOT CHECK OFF ANY BOXES. IF IT WAS "PRE-CHECKED" THAT IS DECEIVING ON YOUR PART. WHERE IS MY RECEIPT FOR THE CONTRIBUTION? WHERE IS A TELEPHONE NUMBER TO DISPUTE THIS? IS THIS REALLY A LEGAL GROUP? I WILL BE CONTACTING MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY TO DISPUTE THIS CHARGE. NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR DECEITFULNESS!!!
