I purchased 2 American Express gift cards that appear to have been used at Apple web store Austin TX. according to American Express gift card fraud prevention. Both cards used at Apple WebStore were for $500.00 each, they provided me with this information, there was .48 cents I believe left on one card & .66 cents on the other, they informed me that I needed to contact you as soon as possible because there was a hold or like prior authorization held on these cards & that the scammers or hackers were attempting to purchase something. I was purchasing an older used car for my son who takes care of me, I am disabled & it's the least I could do for him, I logged into my Ebay account about a week ago & have been looking for a car, there were hundreds & hundreds of cars on the Ebay motors portion of the website I found one & went through the steps to purchase it, I was notified by who I fully believed to be Ebay as I logged into my account & followed all the hoops it took to purchase the car. I checked the Carfax report on the car & everything seemed completely authentic but about 30 minutes after I paid for the car, I got the email confirmation from Ebay motors, that the car would begin to be shipped to me, the 5 days I had to view, test drive, look over & have my mechanic look over the car to make sure there was nothing wrong with it. I contacted my car insurance to get a quote on how much the insurance would cost me & they said, once I have possession of the car to call & they would put the insurance on it! In the email from Ebay, it stated that I would have to submit an additional $1000.00 for the insurance for the 5 days which I thought was extreme but was like okay, but something clicked in my head that I read the entire disclosure about the sale & no where did it say anything about paying another $1000.00 for insurance so I tried to get to the regular Ebay portion of the site as this was the car warranty department but I thought since it was an email from the car dept that I couldn't get there so I just googled Ebay customer service to ask if that was really policy but the nice gentleman at the other end said how did you pay, with a gift card? I said yes, because I hadn't had any major purchases on my account, I didn't qualify for that much Ebay credit so I would have to get three One Vanilla or American Express gift cards to pay for the car. They have a maximum amount of $500, so I would need 2 for $500.00 & another for the remaining $200.00 which I did, each day going back to the emails & even once to see if the car was still posted for sale as it took me a couple days to get cash from the bank & find a store that had the One Vanilla or American Express gift cards. When I couldn't reach the regular Ebay portion through the car sales department of Ebay, I googled Ebay customer service that's when the agent at the other end said how sad he was that it was a scam that they have several different fake Ebay websites, my info was the same so how could I possibly know it was a fake website, It showed all the verification information & phone # that was on the website, it showed the SSL security emblem & everything it normally had. The only thing that made me google the # was because I wanted to know from someone in a different department if I had to pay the additional $1000.00 for insurance when I have car insurance...thats when to my complete shock, I was told it was a scam & that they get reports of hundreds of these kinds of problems every day, so someone created an entire website that was a mirror of Ebay's, that even allowed me to login with my email & password to look at cars!! I am sick to my stomach that this has happened but American Express customer service trailed the use of the cards at least the 2 larger dollar amounts to being used at your AppleWeb Store in Austin TX. all of these transactions happened within 30 minutes of me paying for the car!! Im praying that since the American Express assistant said there is a PENDING charge on both cards that were for $500.00 each to your store that they(you) may be able to help me before the transactions are completed & to get ahold of you right away!! I am disabled & just had back surgery this morning so I'm hurting very much but trying to write this out as fast as possible!! I dont know if I can attach pictures of the cards here or not but I can provide the card #'s for you so hopefully with your help we can stop at least these two transactions placed by these complex heartless scammers!! The 1st American Express gift card # is 3779 354453 96338 with a value of $500.00 with an expiration date of 11/29, The 2nd American Express gift card

is 3779 354280 67179 with an expiration of 7/29. There is just a few cents left on each, one has .66 cents left & the other has .48 cents I believe...I was soo distraught when the agent for American Express told me they had taken all my money & not for the car I believed I was buying from Ebay motors. I'm hoping that the delay in processing the transaction even by 1 day may possibly help me have my hard earned money refunded!! Its a shame that scammers prey on elderly or disabled people who are on fixed incomes, or anyone at all!!
