CCI*HOTEL RES 800-468-3578

I tried numerous times on Friday the 9th of December to book a room at the Travelodge SFO Airport North through a service on my cel phone. I had stayed there before a couple of times and found it comfortable and affordable. This time the website kept saying that my credit card was not authorized. I tried a different credit card; same result. I called customer care - and that person purported to be at the front desk of the Travelodge SFO Airport North. I tried giving that woman my credit card number over the phone, when the first one did not work, I tried the second one. When that did not work I got my bank on the other line and had the bank talk with the desk clerk. The bank said that there were multiple charges already pending; the desk clerk said that she was not getting an authorization. On top of this, the charge the desk clerk was telling me was 90+ dollars where previously I had paid about $58. I finally told the desk clerk that I couldn't do business with them. My bank said to dispute the charges, which I have. The credit union said the same thing.
Now 6 days later, the three pending charges seem to have dropped off my credit union account. The four charges on my bank card are still there. Two are marked dispute pending. I have not been able to get the other two charges to process via the website so I will be phoning the bank later today. If you see "CCI*HOTEL RES 800-468-3578 US" you can be sure you've been scammed. I talked with the General Manager at the Travelodge SFO Airport North and she told me that she couldn't find any record of my having interacted with their system and apologized that I had fallen prey to a scan.
