Often a charge will reflect the city in which the business headquarters is located.

Garden Grove, CA is the city in which CMS Vending is located, therefore all charges will have that city listed regardless of where the actual purchase/transaction was made. That confuses a lot of people, I only know because I work in the Fraud Dept of a major Credit Card company.

Found this charge on my debit card: CMSVEND*CV ORLANDO ALTAMONTE SPR FL as well as other transactions within that state.

This charge may be a scam. In my case it was. Transactions were made from a different state from where I reside. Either way whether the merchant is located in your state or genuinely in another, always dispute a charge that you are not familiar with no matter how small the charge, as your credit or debit card may have been compromised using recent wireless digital pickpockets.

I have a 2.10 charge from CMSVend as well. I figured out it was a snack I bought for my kids at a SkyZone in Van Nuys, even tho the city says Garden Grove. I'm not disputing it but it does piss me off that the amount of the snack was $2.00 and they charged 2.10, must have been some tiny print on the machine that charges extra for credit cards.

Our account was charged 1.45 twice on our Wells Fargo account 2 times in one day. We got 2 NSF fees of 35.00 each. Have to call the bank. We live 2.5 hours away from Tallahassee and how can someone use our account in a vending machine.

I had a number of these small charges (all with "CMSVEND" in the description.). Eventually figured out that they were legitimate charges from a hotel vending machine. City listed (Brooklyn) was not where I was staying, but as others have pointed out, this isn't unusual.

I just had 5 charges to this CMSVEND*CV LOS ANGELES. The thieves used my card to buy almost $100 at Finish Line then used it 6 times for $1.60 x 3, $2.10, and $1.85 to zero out my account. I've never been to California! I live in Wisconsin. This vending machine company sounds like a popular place for these thieves. No phone number on the charges either! I'm extremely careful with my debit card. It never leaves my side, never use it at the pump (where thieves can place a card reader). Never use it at an ATM. Why no phone number tip call them at? Hopefully I'll get my money back as I disputed the charges.

I had the same problem. 5 transactions with each of them being like $2.10 and $2.60 the biggest. Called my bank and asked them to block the card so it can no longer be used and further transactions can not be made. Went to the bank, got a new one and was told the transactions were made in Florida.... but I live literally across the country and have never been to Florida.. be careful when online shopping, some sites are secured!!

Bought a soda and a pack of gum from an Amtrak Station, 2 different machines same building. Not only did both charges come in higher than posted on the machine (They charged 1.60 for a pack of $1.50 gum, 2.10 for a $2.00 soda), they charged me 6 times for the purchases (4 for the gum, twice on the soda), and then attempted a 7th time (Soda again) which my bank then shut down my card for fraud protection. The bank has already refunded the amount and replaced my card, but the fact I've been driven to do this over a standard vending machine purchase is ridiculous.
