My debit card was charged $200.00 over the weekend for a parking/camera ticket in New York but I live in CA. I reported this fraud transaction to my credit union.

9/9/22 Someone tried to charge $635 to my card at this merchant, but my bank caught it. Now I have to close my card and get a new one, which means updating all the automatic payments I've set up. I have no idea how this scammer got my number, but I live on the other side of the country.

I reported the charge as fraud to my bank, I do not live in NY. The first charge they tried was much higher than this one, then they tried again. I am going to my bank in a few hours. This is ridiculous.
I woke up this morning looked at my bank account and there was a fraudulent charge of $875 for dof parking service in Brooklyn New York. I live in South Carolina. I made an attempt to contact them and the lady kindly told me she couldn't help me. This is highway robbery. It took the majority of my check! Something has to be done about this something.
Got hit with 3 charges in less than an hour. Total $1350. I live in Washington State, across the entire country. DOF Parking and Sheriffs Booting Account. Luckily I think I have them stopped.
Received four fraudulent charges totaling $688.50 from DOF Parking and Camera NY. My credit card company is still working on it and the charges have yet to be reversed. I live in Texas and haven't been to NY in years. Seems this scam has been going on a while, based on the first post of 2018. Crazy!
Today my debit card was frozen by the fraud division for a DOF New York charge attempt of $680.00. Although four other fraud charges had already hit for EZPass Newark NJ, Violations for EZ Pass New York and two others totaling $822. New York and New Jersey need to implement better identification for payments since it appears from all the other fraud complaints that this happens frequently (I live in California). I would love to find these SOB's that have stolen my info, No DA needed.
I've never been in the US and currently Armenian resident. However, my Visa Digital card which I use for online payments only has been charged today by DOF Parking and camera, plus its service fee, plus NYC fines with a total amount of 307.88 USD
