What is it?

Just received an alert today I had two charges on CC I did not make. One was with Foster Smith Mail Order for $11.48 and the other Victoria's Secret (I am way to old to be showing stuff off and HAVE to KEEP it secret) for $97.52. When I was notified this morning of transactions, I called bank (and today is Thanksgiving) and they cancelled CC and will investigate. I am surprised FSMO is all fraudulent and not a real place. Set up alerts on your CC and check transactions often!!!

Just notified by Chase that I had a charge for $24.97 by this company to my Southwest card. Thank God for CC vigilance!! Let them know I didn't make or authorize purchase. Hold placed on card to prevent further damage!!

I had a charge of $10 attempted on one of my credit cards, fraud protection flagged it and I was able to lock the account on time. However, after further investigating it turns out that they first post a small charge for FOSTER SMITH MAIL ORDR and if it goes through they go for the larger purchases at retail stores or sites. If you see any kind of unknown charge from FOSTER SMITH MAIL ORDR report it immediately to avoid a larger scam. Please note that there is an actual Foster Smith Mail pet supplies site, but they are not the ones stealing the credit cards, they are just being used a "filter" to test the card.

This is the parent company of petco and liveaquaria.com

This charge is for pet medications

January 19, 2018 a charge of $106.98 was placed on my Visa card fraudulently. Reported to Visa, it is still showing as a pending charge. CC was locked. Is there any way to find out where something was supposed to be shipped? I believe that a restaurant in Belize had copied my card number.

My charge was 189.35 I quickly cancelled my credit card. I hope they catch the culprits and put them away

I had a charge on my debit card of $116.__ from FOSTER SMITH MAIL ORDR , which I am assuming is the pet supply company. I found their phone number, called them, and talked with a CSR. They could not verify my name or address. Basically had no idea who I am.
So if they didn't have my name or address on file, how did they authorize a charge to my card? It was a debit card. I'm now waiting to be contacted by their loss prevention people. I am not hopeful that I will ever find out what happened. So I did the wise thing. I cancelled the old card, disputed the charge and ordered a new one. I have a pet, but I am not a customer of theirs and never have been. At this point I am guessing it could have been an old roommate with pets who got my card#, but it's just a guess. Really, really obnoxious. If they couldn't verify any of my information matches the information on the card they took, they shouldn't have been able to authorize the charge. Not cool.

My Chase card's fraud center caught this, too. It was only for $25, but I never use this card and the charge was made in the middle of the night. Foster Smith Mail Order is apparently a scam of some sort, but I don't know how they got the information for the card to charge it, since my card is locked in a safe at my house. I suspect a data breach, maybe at the credit bureau, but maybe somewhere else.

Can you help? What is this charge?
