At Service stations for instance, there is a charge usually of $1.00 showing up on your credit card immediately, that falls off once a charge is actually posted to your credit card account. It is a systems check of the validity of the card, availability of funds. I believe it could be the same for some other credit card charges. I noticed this NAYAL LLC 13 for $5.00 when I was going for my TSA TWIC card and TSA Pre-Check Card for Domestic Air Travel. I will continue to check if this charge falls off like it does for other Credit Card "pre-authorisations"
