same thing. Had debit charge of just ".93 from mpress" Called bank and they gave me merchant numbers to call: You may contact the merchant at 202-091-2160 or 353-143-6900. Called both #'s and they are not inservice. Believe this was attempt to see if account valid so they could pull more out. Checked PayPal and never had a charge. Had to cancel debit card and dispute charge.

Charge labeled "Paypal *Obdev At 35314369001" is from Objective Development Software, GmbH. They make useful utility apps for MacOS like "Little Snitch" and "Launch Bar"

P.S.: Beware of small "charges" (like 0.99 etc) for which you never made out a "slip" with the rest of the "receipts" you keep. Hopefully everyone learns to keep accurate daily /annual records, and budgets as well.

Just last month, my VISA showed a charge from "PAYPAL *2CO.COM" for an amount of "$88.91" with the "Merchant City/Phone" listed as "35314369001" (the last "1" digit probably added in an attempt to confuse the issue). I checked with the VISA fraud (Wells Fargo) folks, and was advised that PayPal was a sort of clearing house for a number of businesses. Therefore, if one tried to "block" PayPal, it would have an adverse effect on one's ability to use a credit card account at all. Thus... this problem seems to require added diligence from us, the public. Perhaps - instead of constantly (?!!) changing one's account card #s - it would behoove us to check either our "debit" or "credit card" accounts frequently (twice a week, etc??). Eternal Vigilance may be the only option... to expecting crooks to reform overnight. (Hm-mmm). FYI, a few years ago, a banker (whom I knew fairly well) advised me he checks his accounts frequently. He did not appear overly obssessive or remotely paranoid... ("...'wot he say..." and that's my story. I'm sticking to it.

A charge appeared on my bank account from Pay Pal with phone number 353-143-6900. buyers be ware. I did not purchase anything in this amount using Pay Pal. The vendor goes under Pittney Bows.
