I too initially thought this was fraud but then I found a note I made for myself. This was for a book I pre-ordered from Random House Publishing.

For me, this was a charge from Penguin Random House, the book publishing company. It showed up on my card at 3:00am, and I didn't recall any recent purchases so I thought it may be fraud. However, I do purchase books and magazines so thought it may have been something I did, so I called Penguin Random House first to see if they could look it up. Turns out, it was a pre-order book (Amanda Gorman book) that I had ordered months ago and was just not being released. So most likely, if you have this charge it is legitimate so you may want to call them to inquire what it is.
