THE ORVIS CO 800 635 7635 VA CARD8214

I received an email from my bank (Bank Of America) on 6/10/2018 saying that an online or phone charge at The Orvs Company, in the amount of $93.56 had posted to my debit card on 6/09/2018. I did not make this charge. In fact, I had never even heard of The Orvis Company until I received the notification of the fraudulent activity on my card. I don't know what kind of fraud protection, if any The Orvis Company employs to prevent fraud, but obviously it failed in this case. This has caused my bank to freeze my account. I am disabled & on a severely fixed income & cannot afford this type of negligence. The fraud has been reported to Bank of America & I fully intend to contact The Orvis Company directly on the next business day.
