The charge is for a magazine RENEWAL that you did not decline. I was charged $45.00 on my charge card. The charge was listed as TME*855-226-0429 READE 855-226-0429 NY. First, I called my credit card company and told them I did not authorize this charge, that it was a fraudulent charge. They closed my account and are issuing a new card. I did some research on line, the charges are from a company called TME Subscription, http://tmesubscription.com/. I was able to talk to a person on the "Live Customer Service Line" (9am - 10pm ET): 1 (877) 755-8550. After asking many questions, she told me I should have received a notice in the mail about a month before the actual renewal date, telling me I must respond or my subscription would automatically renew. Mine was for Reader's Digest, but obviously it didn't have a return address for Reader's Digest, or I would have opened it. It might have been from a "company" called Magazine Discount Services... Anyway, I pointed out to the customer service rep that the original subscription was $10.00 for one year. The renewal was $45.00 for one year. That was more than the newsstand price of $3.99 per issue. I said it was fraud, she said that Magazine Discount Services set the renewal price. Request a confirmation number of the phone call, request that you are put on their DO NOT SOLICIT list, request not to be billed again, and request a refund. Oh, and TME Subscription is somehow affiliated with TIME MAGAZINE....
