Most likely scammers from a VIN lookup or report. I authorized a $1 charge to get a report and then they started withdrawing other amounts, 8.99, 29.95...

It is a scam through vinhistoryusa.com. They say they are only going to charge $1 for a Vin check but then charge an additional $29.99, then a few days later they start randomly charging your card over and over again. Contact your credit card immediately.

Complete scam. I approved $1 for a vin report and they later charged me $29.00. I reported it and closed my account.

It's definitely a SCAM from VINHISTORYUSA.COM. I was shopping for a car and requested one VIN history report for $1.00, if I recall correctly. I didn't sign up for any subscription. Almost 4 months later I received EIGHT charges for $29.95 and FIVE charges for $1.00. I had no idea what it was and disputed it with my CC company. They closed my account, sent me a new card and originally credited me for most the charges, but after their "investigation" said I was responsible and returned the charges to my account. I of course called back to argue it was fraud, and all they would say is "contact the merchant". The charges showed up under several descriptions: FINDTHEIRREPORT8447656 TRACKTHATREPORT TEST RESULTS 251 PERSONALIZEDRESULTS VINTRACKED VEHICLE BUDGET REPORTS TRACK THE GENE PERSONALIZEDRESULTS TRACKER VIN It wasn't until I started searching these descriptions that I realized what had happened. I'll still have to pay out over two hundred dollars, but at least that account has been closed and I won't have any new charges.

Huge scam. Approved a $1 purchase and nothing else. They text and said I signed up for subscription. I immediately text back and said no. Charged me the $1 plus a $29.95 charge, I never received the Vin report and disputed the charges with them and again expressed I didn’t signed up for anything. Just looked, they have charged me $29.95 5 times now in 2 months.

I got a charge on my bank statement and I haven’t authorize any of this
