UBER TECHNOLOGIES INC 866-576-1039 CA 04/13

Hi everyone,

I don’t think this is actually Uber the car service. I think it is a scam group that is spoofing Uber to make people think the charges are from Uber when they are not, in order to remain hidden and not easily caught and punished. I found this “company” in my paypal automatic payments section with a total of $0.00 listed as the billing amount for Oct. 31st, 2019 just now, when looking for something else on PayPal. I never signed up for this company or bought anything from them, so why would I have known that company was set up in my automatic payments section. Very weird! It’s even more weird that there wasn’t a payment on either my monthly bank statement or in PayPal. So, I shut off the automatic payment. That deleted it.

You all should check your PayPal accounts besides checking the bank statements and set automatic payments to inactive in PayPal. That will delete the fake Uber company from your active automatic payment list. It seems that I’m the only one without a charge here, which is really odd and lucky too. I hope everyone was able to get their money back!

I got a call from my credit card company today saying there might be fraudulent charges on my card. There were 7 "processing" charges from Uber ranging from 1.00 to 57.00. They tried to charge another $76.00 but my card declined it. Somebody has to do something about this company! How can they or their drivers be doing this much fraud and still be in business?

I got this 6 of these charges in a day for about $150 total and caught the fraud. This is very annoying, however I was not charged for it and just a simple call to my credit card company fixed it. This is not the company Uber but some scammers using uber to slip through fraud protection.

Used uber eats app to order food. S separate charge of $48.99 was charged to me. I go?t I canceled nut when usted my husbands card next or next Order the48.89 was charged to him. Will be asking for tefumd,not why are they doing this?

Three fraudulent charges from Uber Technologies on my Credit card this morning. Never did business with this company. Now I have the inconvenience of not having a credit card for the next 6 - 10 days, and the pleasure of changing all of my monthly billing info. Thanks Uber!

Received notification from my Visa card that there was a suspect charge on my account. Uber Technologies 866/576-1039 appeared putting a charge through against my card. I do not have an Uber account, never have had and am totally puzzled how they have my credit card information. Is it that easy to commit fraud through Uber? That should be a concern for their company. Accordingly, my credit card is now cancelled. If this has been going on since 2014, why hasn't someone shut down these criminals?

We had a charge for 20.00 to UBER which we have never used and is not even available in our area. Tried to call the number on the credit card bill which then directed me to email the company which I did. The charge was October 20, 2016. They will not refund the money because the charge is over 120 days old. No, it's not. It was charged to our account less 30 days ago but does say UBER Jan 06 on the charge. Really? It takes nine months to show up on our card. Didn't use UBER in January either. Multiple fraudulent activities going on here. Also, after that first fraudulent charge, five more were made to the card for various other things like Microsoft. Zero assistance from UBER. each email I would get in response was from a different person.

My bank Credit card was used for Uber Technologies without my authorization amount being stolen is $250.00. I would like it return to my bank account. Please contact

Some motherfraker charged me $332.81, $8.43 and $9.24 all in 24 hours. The charge said "Debit Card Purchase UBER TECHNOLOGIES INC 866-576-1039 CA" in the description. Frak you UBER, this is why I don't use your crappy service.

I do not have a Uber account and my card was used for a ride. Glad I caught this since my bank didn’t. We have some great financial institutions and all this fraud prevention. Ha!!!! Someone needs to do something. You can’t even get through to the company to file a complaint. Horrible company as far as I’m concerned. No care in the world who they hire.

I use UBER drivers often when I travel, I love them, BUT, recently a charge showed up on our PayPal account. A minimal amount of $10 and some change. We turned it in to PayPal as a fraudulent charge but they denied our claim stating it was not "unauthorized"! WTF? We did not use Uber anywhere near the time period we were charged for. So, how do you talk to anyone at Uber Technologies? You can't! The numbers given do not work. I just found a phone # and when you call they say that they will email you back when you email them, so I will go that route I guess. I guess I should be glad it isn't in the hundreds like most of these reviews above!

This is to inform you that I was a victim of a mail fraud the day March 19, 2014, because in my statement from my bank Banco Occidental de Descuento, own a NO authorized by the amount of 69.00 USD electronic transaction in ADY UBER TECHNOLOGIES US,... thank you I can provide any information they may have regarding the operation to perform the necessary legal measures for consumer electronic NOT allowed as it is a cyber crime ... I appreciate your cooperation in this regard...

Uber Technologies Ic., attempted to use my VISA six times today. They were declined, but BE AWARE! I have reported this to my credit card companies.

Just like everyone else I have been ripped off by someone using this company. I have never heard of them or used their services. I had several charges on my account one was for $40.42 to UBER Technologies. I have cancelled my card and my bank will take this up with the company. Seems like it is best not to have a debit card since they seem to be easily hacked.
