What is it?

I have not lived in California for 5 years. On February 27, 2025 and Feb 28th, 2025 There were 4 total fraudulent charges made to the California DMV to the tune of almost $800.00 on my debit card. Bank says they were online or call in. Look like someone used my info to pay for registration fees. Inside job maybe?

I sat here ten minutes trying to figure out this DMV charge because I registered my cars 5 months ago.

It was to renew my license. I feel silly.

I checked my car registration receipts and it comes up as the exact same vendor code, so it's any Department of Motor Vehicles payment, with possible variations in the coding according to where the payment went (Sacramento or other offices).
