If the charge on your bank states "SPK*INFOARM" it isn't for SPOKEO, it is for Info Armor, which advertises on their page. It is possible to end your subscription with SPOKEO and Info Armor will continue to bill you. You will need to cancel that separately. If you call SPOKEO at the 800# above, they can contact Info Armor for you and cancel the subscription.

I used SPOKEO once or twice to get information on phone numbers that were contacting my 12 year old granddaughter and found they were from some creep in Vegas. Phone numbers were given to the police. Never heard back from them. Canceled account in july 2013 but continued to receive periodic bill charges on my credit card.

This company has a arrangement with Spokeo to sell their service on the Spokeo site. I was charged for this AND for Spokeo, but not every month for both. Here's the update I noted on the Spokeo entry on this site.

It seems that this is a legitimate business, but mine was a fraudulent charge. Someone had signed me up for a "free" trial (used another name\email) about a year ago, and I've accrued about $225 in charges since then. I just noticed today. I did call the 800 # with my bank on the phone and they were very helpful in arranging a full refund.

I'll post an update if that refund doesn't happen.
